Outlook keeps typing in CAPITALS when composing a new email

September 7, 2025

To resolve this issue open Outlook and go to New Mail. At the bottom of the left corner you will see Options. Click Options, then Mail and finally click the button for Stationary and Fonts. There you will see a button for New Mail messages, Replying and Forwarding and Composing.

For each one click Font and you will see the existing font style and weight. Click Font to select a new option, deselect the bold option and uncheck All Caps. There are three areas to do this.

Once you have completed the above, close Outlook altogether. Next, open Task Manager, (press Ctrl, Alt and Del one time together and click Task Manager). Find the Microsoft Office option down the list and highlight. Click End Task.
