- Update your iPhone to iOS 18.
- Look for the Magnifier app by searching for it.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Capture.
- Enable Reader mode.
- Place the camera over what you cannot read.
- Tap Capture.
- Tap Reader mode, this puts the image into a readable format.
- Adjust the size of the font by tapping the A. Tap Play to have it read to you.
To USE
- Search for Magnifier
- Hold the camera over what you cannot read, capture.
- Tap Reader and tap Play to listen.
Android
Have the Android read aloud what you cannot read because the print is too small or you simply cannot read the text.
- Open the Settings app and go to Accessibility > Select to Speak.
Note: If you don’t see Select to Speak, go to Google Play to download the latest version of Android Accessibility Suite, then try these steps again. - Tap the toggle to turn it on, then tap Allow or OK to confirm permissions.
- Open any app, tap the Select to Speak shortcut, then tap an item to read it aloud. Tap Stop to end playback.
